Sen. Emmett Hanger (Augusta) just gave a speech (broadcast on public television) honoring the Late Stonewall Jackson, mentioning that he (Hanger) and others  created this four day weekend in the year 2000 in honor of three great men, "two of them Virginians"(presumably Lee and Jackson)  and asking that the adjournment of the Senate today be in honor of Gen. Stonewall Jackson.

Just want you to know the motion passed, and on this Martin Luther King day the Virginia Senate has just  adjourned in honor of Stonewall Jackson.
