In an interview with NBC's David Gregory- President Bush was quoted as saying:

"Oh, listen, if you're running for office, you can't run for office and not say, 'I'm an agent of change,'" Bush told NBC News' David Gregory. "That's just American politics. If I were running for office at this point I'd be saying, 'Vote for me, I'm -- I'm gonna be an agent of change.'"

Are Republicans trying to bring about the same type of change that George Bush brought to Washington?

"The word "change" was on Giuliani's lips frequently at two town hall events in southern New Hampshire." (source)

"Republican Mitt Romney has seized a campaign theme from the Democrats: the promise to bring change to Washington." (source)

"Tonight, the people of Iowa made a choice and their choice was clear. Their choice was for a change," said Huckabee, former governor of Arkansas. (source)

With John McCain battling not only his fellow Republicans in New Hampshire but also Barack Obama in the fight for the state's precious independent vote -- folks who can cast a ballot in either primary -- he stressed today that he would steal a page from the Illinois Democrat and cast himself as the real "agent of change." Agent of Change: Bush (soccerdem - 1/13/2008 1:34:59 PM)
The change I've seen from Bush and his administration is the 85 cents I have left in my pocket, i.e., my share of the tax cut for those with income of under 50K.

It seems to me (Va Blogger2 - 1/13/2008 2:23:27 PM)
That Bush is casting doubts on the sincerity of candidates in both parties.
