Rep. Miller, for those who may not know, is the majority chair of the House's education and workforce sub-committee. On many occasions he has addressed my group of Union lawyers and on every occasion he has received standing and prolonged ovations. Miller is labor's best friend on the hill and our chief proponent for the Employee Free-Choice Act. EFCA if passed will deliver labor to the promise land.
I'm actually surprised that Miller has made such a bold endorsement!
Symbolically, endorsements like Miller and Barbara Lee.....the only member of Congress to vote against the invasion of Afghanistan......are pretty significant. I disagreed with Barbara Lee's Afghanistan vote, but she presumably sees Obama as the person most committed to going to war ONLY as a last resort.
