It's over.  And the decision is unanimous!

Word has just come from the Stafford County Circuit Court that the 3-judge panel hearing Jett Jr. v. Mancini has voted 3-0 to uphold the election of Patricia Mancini to the Stafford County School Board.

Why did Howell Spend $5,000? (hereinva - 12/28/2007 5:58:00 PM)
That is great news for the cause of Democracy ! Glad the judges held the line at 3-0 .

Still wonder why Howell paid $5,000 from his own political
coffers to cover attorney fees for Jett ?

Congratulations to Patricia Mancini.

That is great news, BUT.

Don't jump for joy till it is final that there have not been any back door appeals.

A 3 judge panel approved the Nelson County Board of Supervisor race, but on the 30th day after the election, the R lawyer filed an appeal. Since there was no D counter suite, the R's went and filed an amendment to their appeal and asked that the D not be sworn in till the appeal was heard.

The judge granted the amendment and now the D cannot be sworn in even though the 3 judge panel declared him the winner.

Ever one with that in Stafford race needs to be on their toes and counter appeal anything the R party does. These people think they are above the law and the law means nothing to them. And it starts at the White House.
