I'm trying to put together a chronology of the most important Virginia political events of 2007.  Please add your suggestions in the comments section.  Thanks!

Rep. Virgil Goode (R-Xenophobia), writes a bizarre op-ed in USA Today entitled, "Save Judeo-Christian values: Immigration leaves USA vulnerable to Muslim extremists' infiltration."  Goode proves once again that he is nothing more than a deep embarrassment to the Commonwealth of Virginia. (1/2)

Jim Webb is sworn into the U.S. Senate, replacing George "Macaca" Allen. (1/4)

Chap Petersen kicks off his run against Sen. Jeannemarie Devolites Davis. (1/7)

The Henrico County Democratic Committee inexplicably votes to keep "Benedict" Lambert -- the elected Democrat who endorsed George Allen over Jim Webb -- on the committee.  (1/10)

Delegate Frank Hargrove (R) asks, "Are we going to force the Jews to apologize for killing Christ?" Hargrove adds, "I personally think that our black citizens should get over [slavery]." (1/16)

Jim Webb launches his Born Fighting PAC. (1/22)

Sen. Webb delivers the Democratic response to President Bush's State of the Union address.  Webb says that if Bush doesn't move to get us out of Iraq, "we will be showing him the way." (1/23)

The Richmond City Democratic Committee also inexplicably votes to keep "Benedict" Lambert on its committee. (1/25)

Jeff Dion loses his race for the Prince William County Board Of Supervisors, 1,726-1,289. (1/30)

Sen. John Warner calls for "battleship diplomacy" against Iran. (1/31)

If you do the math.... (Ambivalent Mumblings - 12/17/2007 1:05:01 PM)
... that also means I get a really great gift for my 25th birthday because Bush's last day is 1/20/2009 -- the day before I turn 25.
