HuckabeeInterview

Because the Huckabee campaign has questioned the validity of Huffington Post's original report on the DuMond rape release case, Huffington Post has released additional documents from Huckabee's file on Dumond.  The file was given to Huffington Post by an ex-aide to Huckabee.  http://www.huffingtonpost.com/...

Three of the women reported being raped or sexually assaulted by Dumond. One, whose writings have not been made public up to this point, wrote about her harrowing assault at Dumond's hands.

Standing there yielding a butcher knife above his head, was the shadow of a man. I asked "Who is it?" and he immediately burst on to my side of the bed, put his hands over my mouth and stuck the knife in my throat, whispering, "Don't say a word or I'll cut your ***[bleep] throat." I froze and adhered to his request...

Also included in the file is an officially marked and dated Arkansas State Police affidavit, given to Huckabee prior to his decision to support parole, in which Dumond confessed to having raped another woman. Dumond was never charged for the crime.

There's much more at Huffington Post.  I think they shed a lot of light on the way Huckabee thinks (or doesn't think).

This isn't half the reason why Huckabee is unelectable (RoCoDemsPrez - 12/13/2007 1:33:35 AM)
I'll admit it: I like Mike Huckabee.

He seems genuine, he's a a great guy, he seems fresh, and many other things.

That being said, George W. Bush seems like a great guy to hang out with and have a beer with.

Huckabee's seemingly radical stances on certain issues will what will make him unelectable...he's a candidate to the social conservative base and if his radical stances are pushed enough he will have little to no appeal among swing voters.

The rape decision is one of the many reasons why Huckabee looks scary.

It's here, and not very artful, but . . .

And I agree that there's a lot more wrong with Huckabee than this one issue.
