Republicans Hate Their Candidates

This is so funny:

Three weeks before the Iowa caucuses, Republicans voters across the country appear uninspired by their field of presidential candidates, with a vast majority saying they have not made a final decision about who to support, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News Poll.

None of the Republican candidates is viewed favorably by even half of the Republican electorate, the poll found...

In contrast, Democrats are very happy with their candidates.  What's THAT all about?

It's because they don't have the Uniter to run anymore, silly! =)  The alliance between the Milton Friedmanites and the Pat Robertsonians has been fractured.  There is no one to bridge that divide for them.  Maybe Romney, but he doesn't come off as convincing.  Look at their field!  Wouldn't you be lamenting your choices?

They are looking for a messianic figure to rescue them.  That is why there is disappointment.  They haven't realized that change begins within.  They haven't yet begun introspection (I think they may have learned to shun introspection by watching too much of the Decider).  But hopefully they will learn a lesson from all of this and grow as individuals.

Did you catch this? (tx2vadem - 12/11/2007 12:24:47 AM)
Bush intends to replace Karen Hughes with James K Glassman.  Maybe Republicans are in the dumps because they took his advice: "Dow 36,000: The New Strategy for Profiting from the Coming Rise in the Stock Market, by James Glassman and Kevin Hassett (1999)"  It's available at Amazon for as low as $0.01.
