Obama steps up for Phil Forgit

From the Daily Kos open thread, we learn that Obama and his campaign has taken a moment to help a Virginia Democrat:

Following on his email in support of Robin Weirauch in OH-05, Barack Obama's campaign has sent a similar email for Phil Forgit in VA-01. (UPDATE: see the text of this email in Shawn's diary) It includes information on the race, a phonebanking tool, and a link to information on Forgit campaign events.

A little reward to Obama for stepping up for a fine Virginian -- a link to the Barack Obama campaign page and to an article about Tim Kaine's endorsement of the Senator.

Oh, and here's where to check out Phil Forgit as well.

Obama.....Best Grassroots Campaign (Lee Diamond - 12/7/2007 4:50:30 PM)
From what I can tell.....and I have been to New Hampshire.......Barack Obama is running the best grassroots campaign of all the candidates.  If he wins the nomination, this will tie in very nicely with the work that Howard Dean & Co. have been doing at the DNC.  Under Obama's leadership, the Democratic Party will reach out energetically to all Americans.  Party identification and membership will increase significantly.  Turnout will also go up.  Barack Obama is all around good.......excellent for the Democratic Party and for America.......more about America and foreign policy in my next installment.

thanks barack and you go phil... (lgb30856 - 12/7/2007 5:00:17 PM)

It's great that Barack is paying attention to VA.  Thanks to Tim Kaine for his endorsement. The dems need Barack.  I say a Barack-Edwards ticket is a winner!

It would be nice to see... (Lowell - 12/8/2007 7:31:44 AM)
...other Democratic presidential candidates doing something for Phil Forgit.  I know they're busy, but how hard is it to send an email?
