Inside Scoop on Smithfield Foods

As this show indicates, and as we've discussed here a million times, Smithfield Foods is an utter disgrace -- the modern day version of Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle."   How any Democrat can possibly take money from this company is beyond me.  (Republicans, I can understand, because they don't care about workers, the environment, animals, or much of anything else.)  Watch the show and decide for yourself. Oh, and don't buy anything from this disgusting company.

I think at the heart of the immigration problem is the desire of the big companies to be able to exploit illegals. They want them to come here, but they don't want them to have any rights. To do that they must keep people stirred up against the immigrants and afraid that they will take over.

The reason these immigrants are coming to this country is because companies in Mexico and other countries have gone to Asia for cheaper labor. Another reason is that our agricultural practices makes it impossible for farmers in these other countries to sell their food. Welcome to NAFTA.

Attacking people on the grounds of rascism really bypasses the real issues and plays into the hands of the big companies. The multinationals and their business practices are the real problem.
