Did you know that 17 year olds can vote in the Dec. 11 special election as long as they turn 18 by November 4, 2008?! That's right, according to the registrar's office who got the ruling from the Attorney General. Of course that means they only have until Dec. 4 to register. There are 3 ways to do this.....they can download and mail a form that's been postmarked by Tuesday December 4, 2007; they can register in person at the Registrars' Office (M-F 8:00am-4:30pm); and of course they can go to the DMV.

And speaking of electing Phil Forgit to Congress....Phil will be attending 2 parades on Saturday. The campaign is asking everyone attending to wear blue & white and holiday accessories. First is the Warrenton Holiday Parade. People will meet at 9:15am at corner of Mocking Bird and Clay in Old Town Warrenton. Then later there's the Fredericksburg Christmas Parade. The meeting time there is for 4:15pm at the corner of Princess Anne and Charlette St. in Fredericksburg.
