Hokies Thank the World

From Blacksburg today, this photo says it all. And I wanted to share it with you.
This morning, about 9,000 Hokies from Blacksburg, and all over, (students, faculty, alumni, and some supportive Miami fans too), set out in 28 degree weather to send a message to the world: Thank you!
Thank you for all the love and support we've received this past year. Thanks for the overwhelming outpouring of thoughts, prayers, good wishes, cards, memorabilia, gifts to the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund. Your kindness will be with us always.
The above photo just "premiered" on ABC (Tech v Miami), and will be followed by a satellite version, which would be posted Monday.

I had already made it back to NOVA by this morning so I couldn't be a part of the thank you...I'm so happy to see that so many people were able to stick around for it.

I want to echo Kathy's statement. We Hokies have greatly appreciated the support we've received this year from nearly every quarter. It's been remarkable to realize that we are a society that understands human decency and how things should be. I'm so proud to be a Hokie, and to have been able to be a part of this (even if I couldn't make it to Blacksburg for the picture).
