The Corporate Research Project of Good Jobs First is out with a new report, "An Evaluation of Online Public Information About Economic Development Subsidies, Procurement Contracts and Lobbying Activities."  The study "examines the quantity and quality of online information currently provided by state government agencies throughout the United States in three areas" -- lobbying activity at the state level, economic development subsidies awarded by state and local agencies, and procurement contract awards.  Virginia finishes 27th, with a composite grade of "F".

Actually, Virginia does fairly well on lobbying disclosure (C+) and even better on contract awards (B), but it gets a zero (F) on economic development subsidies.  Obviously, Virginia has a ways to go in that area.
