Leslie Byrne for Congress Website Up

The Leslie Byrne for Congress website is now up and running.  This is why I like her so much:

...Leslie remains committed to the issues that have been her focus during her entire career: transportation, economic fairness, the rights of women and minorities, the environment and consumer protection. She has been an outspoken critic of the war in Iraq and President Bush's policies that subvert the constitution. Throughout her career, she has always sought pragmatic solutions, and with her experience, proven effectiveness, and integrity the people of the 11th District can rely on her to represent them with distinction.

Also, the fact that Leslie was one of the earliest and most important backers of Jim Webb is no small potatoes, to put it mildly. In fact, Leslie's early, strong support last year was absolutely crucial to getting Webb off the ground and ultimately defeating George "Bush" Allen.  For that, the entire nation owes Leslie Byrne a debt of gratitude!

Byrne = Best for Virginia (Elaine in Roanoke - 11/14/2007 3:49:35 PM)
I do hope everyone will realize that Leslie Bryne is the best candidate for the district. She needs help in every way you can give it, so give it. If Leslie and Larry Byrne get the financial and grassroots support that she deserves, have no fear...they will deliver a victory for the Democratic Party. Leslie Byrne is one candidate who understands how to campaign for victory. (And...yes...both my husband and I have already put money where my mouth is...)

Leslie is too COOL! (kevinceckowski - 11/14/2007 10:46:55 PM)
After Jim Webb took off his boots and held them up to the camera at his victory lap in Clarendon and we all cheered him and ourselves on, Leslie left the event after many pictures with us all and a smile you could see half way around the beltway.  Leslie left, went over to the metro steps and began walking down to the train station below.  She looked so satisfied and so calm and so down to earth. I so like this courageous woman/ Virginian/ Democrat. I will definitely be there for her as well when she runs! kc.
