My plan (legacyofmarshall - 11/5/2007 1:01:05 PM)
I'm waking up at 3:30, stumbling around for a while until I find a coat - meeting (as of now - the number is growing) four friends to head over to Newport News to put up signs for/help organize e-day GOTV efforts for John Miller.

I have to head back to Williamsburg as I have class at 8:00 and basically lasting until 6:30 pm.  But in my breaks I will be... manning precincts for the James City County Democrats and... taking my (former New Yorker) roommate who registered to vote here in Williamsburg to the polls so he can vote for two unopposed candidates (Del. Barlow and Sen. Norment).

At 8:00 pm I'll head on over to the Days Inn for the William & Mary Young Democrats Election Night VICTORY Party to watch the good results roll in and celebrate!

Loudoun work (Evan M - 11/5/2007 1:38:03 PM)
My polling place is only about a mile from my house, so I'm working as assistant precinct captain.

I've got a home-made pizza-type sign (thanks to the husband of a local candidate) for the roof of my car, which will be parked in the lot of my polling place all day, as I'm working my precinct the whole day.

So I'll be up at around 4:30, setting up by 5:15, and handing out sample ballots to the voters standing in line in the dark.

If I'm lucky, I'll be awake enough to go to the victory party tomorrow night in Ashburn.

all day at Vienna #2 for Chap Peterson (teacherken - 11/5/2007 2:29:51 PM)
I will be there from before 6 AM until after 7 PM, handing out literature

go, Chap, go!

Door hangers today (VA Breeze - 11/5/2007 2:43:13 PM)
working the polls tomorrow!

west alexandria plans (pvogel - 11/5/2007 5:07:28 PM)
after helping at team Englin for the last month, tomorrow I am going to fairfax county to help.
Then the victory party at alexandria!!!!

Helping my wife win, I hope! (CADeminVA - 11/5/2007 5:32:05 PM)
My wife, Patricia Mancini, is running for School Board in Stafford County. She was "drafted" to provide an alternative to the knuckle-dragging Neanderthal who was on the ballot to succeed the retiring member. We got her on the ballot with literally minutes to spare.

Then, her opponent decided he'd make more money in Kuwait, and he was gone, no longer in the district he was dropped off the ballot, leaving her as the only candidate for the office.

The GOP is in a panic. My wife would be an uncontrolled vote on the School Board. They found a guy with ambitions and are bankrolling a huge write-in effort. Mailings, phone calls, ads in the Free-Lance Star, etc. etc. They are out-spending us 10- or 12-to-1. They are going to be strong-arming people showing up to vote tomorrow.

If you're in the South Stafford area, we need help! Call us at 540/373-5850 or e-mail us at mancini4schools@cox.net. We've got 3 precincts to man and if you want to help elect a great candidate and thwart Bill Howell's Republican machine, give us a call. Thanks!

Wish I could help you, but I'm committed (Barbara - 11/5/2007 7:03:42 PM)
Good luck though.  I'll watch for the results.

I see your wife won (Barbara - 11/8/2007 12:10:00 AM)
Congratulations.

My Plans (Adam Malle - 11/5/2007 5:36:04 PM)
I along with several others are holding an impeach Bush/Iraq protest sit in all day at the student center at UVA-Wise. we do this with the understanding that impeachment is not going to happen, we are using it as a tool to foster political discussion on campus in preparation for a debate on Iraq between the UVA-Wise Young democrats and a group of conservatives on campus at the end of Nov.

..after i vote of course (Adam Malle - 11/5/2007 5:37:51 PM)

Working for Bruce Roemmelt (snolan - 11/5/2007 5:40:42 PM)
GOTV efforts, lit drops, knocking on doors, voting myself, precinct running.

In PWC (VaNative - 11/5/2007 6:12:50 PM)
Working at the polls for Colgan

. (MikeSizemore - 11/5/2007 6:33:58 PM)
Tomorrow I'll be working the polls in Northern Va. for the first time ever.

From the time I could walk, I used to help my Mom handout stickers and sample ballots for Democrats at the VFW hall near my old home in Southside Virginia. My parents kept me involved, by my choice ultimately, doing this every year for our elections even providing the necessary note when I was a little late to school.

Tomorrow, I'll be at the Mt. Eagle precinct in Alexandria with the Lee District Democrats. If you're around, come shake my hand and let me give you an Englin sticker. Hope to see yall out there!

Up at 4:30am (Barbara - 11/5/2007 7:01:50 PM)
Grab my Sharon Pandak shirt and a cup of coffee; get to the precinct early to put up signs.  Give out sample PWC democrat ballots and info to voters beginning at 6am.  Phone banks from 2-4pm; back to the precinct till closing.  After that I hope to pop the champagne.

My legs are still sore... (elevandoski - 11/5/2007 10:09:56 PM)
so I'm sitting on the phones all day calling voters in the 83rd and 21st.  If the powers that be decide whether or not to man the polls, I may strike a pose at a poll at least for the couple hours before the appropriate time to be calling folks on the phone.

Then it's PARTY TIME!!!

What I'm doing (Craig - 11/5/2007 10:48:35 PM)
Voting bright and early tomorrow before work, then poll-watching from 5:30 to 6:30 in Fairfax City, where I live.

Fairfax Dems party (brookeln - 11/6/2007 3:57:32 PM)
Is anyone else going to the Fairfax Dems party at the McLean Hilton? I am most likely going to that tonight.
