1 Day and a "Wakeup"

1 day and a "wakeup" -- that's how former military guys like Jim Webb talk about how long we've got until the election tomorrow.  Just a few quick points:

*If you feel like getting pumped up, come out to the rally today at George Mason University's Johnson Center at 11 AM.

*There's also a rally at 5 PM at Old Dominion University.

*The weather report for Election Day throughout most of Virginia is mostly cloudy with a chance of a brief shower or two, highs in the mid 50s.  In other words, the weather will be fine for voting, so go vote!

*If you can volunteer for your favorite candidate today or tomorrow, please do do.  It's all about getting out the vote now, and you can help with that by "flushing," phone banking, etc.

*If you don't know where to vote, click here to find out.  In general, though, it's wherever you regularly vote.

*Most importantly, make sure you vote and remind all your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers to vote!

*All polling places are open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on election days.

P.S.  Oh yeah, I forgot the two most important words besides "go vote," which of course are "VICTORY PARTY!"  Enjoy the one most convenient to you, and drive safely after you're done celebrating all the great Democratic victories! :)

Manassas Rally (VaNative - 11/5/2007 8:28:06 AM)
There is also a rally at 10:00 today in Manassas with Governor Kaine, Mark Warner and Chuck Colgan.  City Tavern on Main Street.

Are you going to be there? (Pain - 11/5/2007 9:25:50 AM)
I should be able to make it down there for a bit.

Yes! (VaNative - 11/5/2007 10:11:58 AM)
I'll be at the Manassas rally

OK (Pain - 11/5/2007 10:21:09 AM)
I was in the Colgan HQ last week making calls and asked a few guys if they were 'VaNative', but no.

VaNative (VaNative - 11/5/2007 10:27:02 AM)
That will teach you to ask :)

Point taken (Pain - 11/5/2007 10:29:39 AM)
nt

I think it starts @ 10:45 (totallynext - 11/5/2007 10:00:46 AM)
I phone banked this weekend and we were telling everyone it started at 10:45

I've seen several different starting times (Lowell - 11/5/2007 10:04:36 AM)
ranging from 10:45 to 11:30.  I'm going to try to be there at 10:30 or so...

Lowell (VaNative - 11/5/2007 10:13:57 AM)
Do you mean you will be at the Manassas rally? The auto call from Mary said 10 but I imagine everything will be running late.

fyi - I think Chap is going to be on CNN (totallynext - 11/5/2007 11:34:33 AM)
right before the rally

I will be at the ODU rally tonight (mikeporter - 11/5/2007 10:05:52 AM)
We will be celebrating VICTORY a day early.

Remember, remember the 5th of November. The gunpowder, treason, and plot. I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot.

Manassas Rally (VaNative - 11/5/2007 12:24:08 PM)
Code, Mark Warner wasn't at the Manassas rally for Chuck Colgan, so I hope he makes the others. Governor Kaine was there, spoke, and took his time greeting people.  Dick Saslaw, Brian Moran, Mary Margaret Whipple, Creigh Deeds, Bruce Roemmelt, Bill Day, Bill Ryland and Sharon Pandak at the end. I know I am forgetting others. Good turn out for Chuck - especially at 10:00 on a Monday morning!
