Yesterday, we reported on questions related to "Jeannemarie and her campaign manager/husband...using the Central Contractor Registration database, or CCR, to hit up Federal Government contracting executives for donations."  This evening, JMDD will be at a federal contractors fundraiser in Fairfax City.

Perfect, here's your chance to tell JMDD and Tom exactly what you think of them! If you're interested and can make it, please meet at Chap Petersen's office (11198 Lee Highway, Suite D-2, Fairfax, VA 22030) at 5 PM.  The protest starts at 5:30 PM, and the more people -- and noise -- the better.

Rats.... (Doug in Mount Vernon - 11/2/2007 10:58:17 AM)
I can't attend because I'll be making GOTV calls for George Barker.

Depending on what you're planning to do, you might first check to see if you need a permit to protest. (pol - 11/2/2007 12:27:55 PM)
Police broke up a BVBL protest outside of a Jeanette Rishell function recently because the group didn't have a permit.

I'm not organizing this (Lowell - 11/2/2007 12:41:26 PM)
but thanks for the "heads up."

If it's an organized protest.... (Doug in Mount Vernon - 11/2/2007 1:19:39 PM)
But if it's just citizens showing up to practice their right to free speech that should not require a permit.

I believe it's the latter. (Lowell - 11/2/2007 1:21:31 PM)
Anyway, as the joke goes, we're not a member of any ORGANIZED political party...we're DEMOCRATS!!  Haha. :)

I don't know... (pol - 11/2/2007 2:36:12 PM)
and Fairfax may have different laws. Greg L. and crew talked on BVBL about meeting in Manassas outside one of Jeanette's fundraisers the following day to protest.  Someone alerted the police.  The next day, Greg was met by police who told him he needed a permit to protest.

Just sayin.'

No kidding? (Pain - 11/2/2007 7:22:16 PM)
I don't recall seeing any information concerning that over at BVBL, but I guess that bit of information wasn't important.  Perhaps I just missed it.
