Help Defend One of Us! Stand Up to Clear Channel

The right wing media strikes again.  It's Dixie Chicks redux.  Many of us, who might not have been all that inclined to buy the Chicks last album did so in protest of Clear Channel's banning of the chicks from the air for their comments about George W. Bush.  And the Chicks rocked.  They had the most popular album at the time.  Along the way, I found I actually like the Chicks.

Now Bruce Springsteen, whose courageous work on numerous progressive causes, and support of the Democratic nominee in 2004, is the latest target of on-air banning.

The website, Crooksandliars.com, found this on a FOX website:

Alas, there's a hitch: Radio will not play "Magic." In fact, sources tell me that Clear Channel has sent an edict to its classic rock stations not to play tracks from "Magic." But it's OK to play old Springsteen tracks such as "Dancing in the Dark," "Born to Run" and "Born in the USA."

But Magic has hit No. 1 on the charts anyway.  But more is needed.  Given Clear Channel's attempt to freeze our progressive hero from the air, it seems appropriate to "just say no" to Clear Channel, and all it's advertisers.  I haven't bought Magic yet, but I am about to.  How about you?
