Terry Kilgore Wants Revenge Against Tim Kaine

Is this one of the most pathetic quotes you've ever seen?
Kaine's political reputation could rest on Tuesday's outcome. He is frustrated by what he sees as an obstructionist House of Delegates and state Senate, but GOP leaders accuse him of introducing an aggressive partisan style into legislative races, which they say will poison his relationship with the General Assembly.

"We are going to remember this. It is just basic human instinct," said Del. Terry G. Kilgore (R-Scott). "He has gone out of his way to go against members who have helped him, so I am sure when he comes up short, he is going to find the road less traveled."

That's right, it's the brother of Jerry Kilgore -- the guy who famously screeched/whined, "I have no DUTY to you, Mister Lieutenant Governor" -- has his panties all in a bunch because...wait for it...Gov. Kaine is campaigning for members of his own party!

All together now: waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

In all seriousness, though, do you think Terry Kilgore will also be condemning House Speaker Bill Howell for campaigning for (and giving huge sums of money to) House Republicans and against House Democrats, some of whom may have even helped pass Howell's legislation?  No?  Well then:

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, it's hard to resist.  Again, though, let's get serious for a moment; do you think Terry Kilgore would be making ridiculous comments like this if he and his fellow Republicans weren't seriously worried about the outcome next Tuesday?  Also, is this not yet another reason to vote Democratic next Tuesday, that -- as Terry Kilgore has all but promised -- if Republicans retain control, they're going to be extremely hostile to Governor Kaine and prevent him from "Moving Virginia Forward," as Kaine wants to do?  Unfortunately, that appears to be the mindset among Virginia Republicans right now: angry, bitter, looking for payback.  Are those the type of people we want behind the driver's wheel here in Virginia?  No, I didn't think so.

P.S.  Does anyone understand what the heck Terry K. is talking about with his "road less traveled" comment?

Geese, the Republicans Just Said They're Playing Hardball?!? (Not Harry F. Byrd, Sr. - 10/30/2007 8:45:42 AM)
I thought politics was a nice game where the people on opposite sides were nice to each other and then worked together for a common goal after they all get together?

Isn't that what the GOP's been doing every session for the last 6 years now with our Democratic governors?

Republicans focused on obstruction and revenge (True Blue - 10/30/2007 9:24:18 AM)
While Democrats are focused on trying to provide the best laws, policies, and management.

Is it any wonder the Republicans are in retreat?

Yep (Doug in Mount Vernon - 10/30/2007 4:06:52 PM)
You nailed it.  And people can see who is actually interested in good government, wise management of resources, and effective leadership for the Commonwealth.

I cannot imagine what a Kilgore brother would mean by "a road less traveled".

I shudder to think what Highway he might be referencing, but let's do what we can to show the Kilgores , the Thelma Drakes, and the Eric Cantors of Virginia the highway to electoral oblivion.
