Picking up trash along Virginia's highways is a regular occurence for Albert Pollard, one of the most dedicated conservationists you'll ever meet. But this past weekend was extra special because he was joined by Gov. Kaine and fmr. Virginia First Lady Holton as well.
On Sunday, October 28th, Governor Tim Kaine was welcomed by a large crowd of Albert Pollard supporters at the BP gas station in Warsaw. The group huddled to hear Albert and Gov. Kaine speak before the team hit the ditches to pick up trash.

Jinks Holton - Weems resident, the wife of Virginia's first Republican Governor, Linwood Holton, and mother-in-law to Governor Kaine welcomed the crowd to Warsaw saying "I am proud of the work Tim has done to work against the partisan atmosphere in Richmond and Albert will do the same."

Governor Kaine told the crowd of his time working with Albert to make Virginia one of the best places to work and raise a family. Kaine said "Albert has always been an independent voice for the Northern Neck."

After leading the crowd in singing happy birthday to Corinne Crooks who turned 100 on Saturday, Pollard said, "We can work to stop the bickering in Richmond one election at a time and with your support we can win this election one vote at a time."

After the rally, Albert and the Governor of Virginia picked up trash on Route 360. Albert picking up trash has been a tradition of his throughout his time in public office and shows that he is willing to get his hands dirty and lead by example. "I have had a lot of people help pick up trash over the years and to have the Governor demonstrates that if we all do a little bit everyone will be better off."
