Attacked by one of Smith's Cronies

After I posted my last entry on my own blog I was attacked by, of course, an anonymous poster who wanted to say I was nothing more then an unwelcome guest, but I will let you read their post, unedited of course.

"Anonymous said...
What Marinemec1 has failed to note is that he was accompanied by a female who, on the previous day, had been actively campaigning for Smith's opponent. She was wearing the opponent's campaign sticker and distributing his campaign materials at another local event.

The Smith event was not a public event and was held on private property. Neither Marinemec1 nor his companion had been invited to the event. Most people would not try to attend a closed event without an invitation."

Now I would like to let you know four simple little truths about what happened on that day, so we can clear up some of this mud being slung my way.

1) Press Conferences are open to the public (I spoke with several media outlets about this, and yes even the media said they are open to the public.) After all what could be said that he doesn't want regular people to hear?

2) We were openly welcomed by the Chairmen Dr. Ed Lynch when we arrived an hour early to the event, and he even told us the correct time the event was to be held. No press credentials were requested, he never said it was a closed event nor did he ask for our invitations.

3) I will not stand for any man screaming at the woman who stood by me through my injuries and discharge from the Marine Corps, nor will I stand for some pompous civilian to disrespect me as a Veteran, especially when the Republicans are supposedly so very "pro-military." The rumors must be true, Ralph Smith doesn't like Vets.

4) The Republican Party Headquarters for the County is NOT, I repeat IS NOT private property. As a defined party headquarters, that places the building under the category of a civic building, which would make it public property. But I guess the Republican Party is somewhat like a country club, they don't want Hispanic-American Veterans clouting their higher then thou reputation, which is fine by me, because we don't need people like Smith in office.

I have yet to hear a reply on that, maybe, I'm guessing because its hard to admit when your wrong.

Ralph Smith is against veterans (VTYogi - 10/24/2007 4:39:28 PM)
He has shown his true colors.  Ralph Smith has no regard forour service men and women.  Having Oliver North for a fundraiser shows that he is unconcerned with North's direct link to Iran having the capability to kill U.S. soldiers.  Oliver North hurt Marines and, with IED's using explosives sold by North, has killed U.S. soldiers.

smith is a pig minus the intellect (accidentalwoman - 10/25/2007 4:47:56 PM)
i would expect no less of his supporters. i also regret the use of the word pig because that is an insult to pigs everywhere. of course they won't know.
