From Roll Call;

Veteran Rep. Tom Davis (R-Va.), who has been seen as a leading candidate to replace retiring Sen. John Warner (R) in 2008, may now be just a day away from announcing his own retirement from Congress.

I guess we'll find out tomorrow, stay tuned...

Will make a KILLING as a lobbyist.  Smart move on his part--timing is right.

Nah, the R's are running for the exits this cycle. This way, he's just part of the crowd.

If he waits too long all the good jobs will be taken (True Blue - 10/24/2007 12:51:42 PM)
Plus there's now a two year waiting period before you can begin lobbying.  Quit tomorrow Tom: the sooner you quit the sooner you can start lobbying and pulling those big bucks.

Quit tomorrow.

I meant this year's election.
Announcing tomorrow that he is throwing in the towel won't help his wife.
