Prediction: This Will Not Make NLS Happy

Fearless prediction du jour:  this will not make NLS happy (nor should it).

The Springfield District, open because of Catherine A. Belter's decision not to run, would be well served by Elizabeth T. "Liz" Bradsher. She was instrumental in creating the public-private partnership that built South County Secondary. Her energy, accomplishments and innovative thinking give her a clear advantage over PTA leader Ramona W. Morrow.

A clear advantage over a candidate who has been endorsed by the Fairfax County Federation of Teachers and SLEEP (Start Later for Excellence in Education Proposal), "a group in Fairfax advocating changing our high school and secondary school bell schedule to better serve the needs of adolescents?"  A "clear advantage" over a candidate who has won the National PTA President's Distinguished Service Award and the Virginia PTA Life Membership Award?  A "clear advantage" over a candidate who does NOT act like this towards a current Fairfax County public school student?

To the contrary, the "advanage" is clearly with Ramona Morrow for Fairfax County school board.  Please vote for her on November 6.

Bradsher has also been endorsed by SLEEP. They were dual endorsed.

"Bradsher is strongly supportive of later start times and includes it on her website as one of five talking points. Helped set up a meeting for SLEEP with the Athletic Council."

Bradsher was also endorsed by the Fairfax Education Association, the largest teacher organization in Fairfax County.

A shame about Morrow (brookeln - 10/22/2007 3:07:05 PM)
That certainly is a shame that the Post didn't endorse Morrow...

I also want to remind everyone to vote for at-large School Board Member Ilryong Moon, who the Post did endorse.
