What Has Ingrid Morroy Done for You Lately?

I just wanted to take a minute and give you a few reasons to vote for my favorite Arlington elected official (and good friend), Commissioner of Revenue Ingrid Morroy, on November 6.

*She has introduced the use of modern technology into the Commissioner's office.
*She has applied fair and equitable assessments.
*She has fostered interagency cooperation.
*She has worked well with Arlington's business community.
*She has worked to create a customer-focused organization.
*She has established a DMV Select office at Courthouse Plaza.

All of these initiatives have resulted in improved customer service delivery, a friendly environment, and shorter wait times on the phone and at the service counters for the Revenue Commissioner's office.

Over the next four years, Ingrid plans to implement a new, modern tax administration system;
start online service for businesses (Biz eFile); expand DMV services to include renewal of Virginia driver's licenses; and work to return the Tax Relief Program for the Elderly and Disabled to the Commissioner's Office.  Ingrid also plans to maintain her office motto: "When customers call us, they are not interrupting our busy workday.  They are the reason we are here!"

Ingrid is unopposed, but please vote for her anyway and send a message that Arlington appreciates and rewards effective, progressive leadership.  Thanks.
