Chap Sets the Record Straight!

Chap Petersen has recently faced some vicious attacks and distortions of his record by his opponent Jeanmarie Devolites Davis. If you haven't seen one of her ads desperately flailing away at Chap, chances are you don't live in Virginia, D.C., Maryland or the parts of Pennsylvania and West Virginia that $250,000 in desperation money will buy you.

Chap, in his signature style, has taken a simpler approach and created a website explaining in detail the difference between Jeanmarie's wild-eyed lunacy and reality.  Check out The Straight Record and make sure you get out the vote to put the final nail in the Davis' coffin THIS YEAR.

Chap should be proud of his work in favor of the inheritance tax ("death tax" to the wealthy).  It's a smart way to keep children with 11 fingers from tying up resources and creating havoc to our society (being born wealthy is not a sign of personal merit, lest one forgets.).

Second, if he voted as the ad suggests on the gun issue, I'm sure that he can justify the vote, but what he should not do is ignore it.  It's better to frame it in a light favorable to him than for her to nakedly frame the issue. I'm fine with some relaxed gun laws if they are reasonable, but in any event, the issue should be honestly addressed.
