Please be fair to the man -- he's just been misunderstood.
For example, you may have thought he was saying that he'd protect "a woman's right to choose." Actually, if you listen closely, what he really said was that he'd protect "a woman's right to shoes".
We all know how much ladies like buying shoes, so I think this is a very heartwarming and morally respectable stance for him to take. Go, Mitt!
