LoudounForce.org  has posted the first part of our interviews with each of the Loudoun County Sheriff candidates. We focused on various immigration issues. They provided insights into how the Sheriff department works and their views on the immigration issue.

Greg Ahlemann, Steve Simpson and Mike George provide interesting and differing perspectives on the role of this important office. They will also answer your questions, giving voters a chance to challenge the candidates, and document policy positions.

We have focused on the Sheriff's race because it is arguably the most powerful and important constitutional office in the county:

  1. The Sheriff commands a budget of nearly $60 Million with roughly 662 position.
  2. Of all the offices, it is the Sheriff's office that can most directly effect the community if it were to implement inappropriate measures in response to pressure to address Federal immigration issues.
  3. The Sheriff is responsible for maintaining the integrity of our community. The Sheriff must not only ensure that laws are adhered to, but more importantly, that the constitutionally guaranteed inherent rights of all individuals in Virginia are secured.
