3Q07 Fundraising Numbers Coming In

Presidential fundraising numbers for the third quarter of 2007 are coming in. So far, we've got Barack Obama with $19-$20 million, $7 million for John Edwards, and $5.2 million for Bill Richardson.  These are down from 2Q07 numbers of $32.5 million for Obama, more than $9 million for Edwards, and around $7 million for Bill Richardson.  Of course, the summer is usually slow, with people on vacation, so these numbers aren't terribly surprising.

More important is the relative ranking among the candidates.  On that score, it looks like John Edwards is falling far behind Obama, and presumably Hillary Clinton when her numbers come in.  Bill Richardson's hanging in there with Edwards, but far behind the top two Democrats in terms of fundraising.  Amazingly, there's just one more quarter to go before the caucuses and primaries start.  Crunch time!

On the Republican side, it looks like Mitt Romney raised about $10 million in the third quarter, and Fred Thompson raised $8 million.

Is that Democratic Presidential candidates have collectively raised more than $1,000,000 more money than Republicans in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

So much for this being a red state.  Plus, McCain has outraised Romney and Guiliani in VA.

Of course the McLean zip codes seem to be the heaviest givers in the Commonwealth for both D's and R's.

Hillary just reported 27 Million...100,000+ new donors... (SaveElmer - 10/2/2007 10:04:01 AM)
Top result for the quarter...
