Let's hope the scumbag runs for Senate, so we can kill two birds with one stone:

Davis is calling for hearings into the behavior of the NYTimes re: the Moveon.org ad. That's right, it's not enough for our Congress to be condemning the speech of citizens, it now needs to investigate the business practicies of the private press.

Tom, Tom, Tom! (Rebecca - 9/24/2007 5:32:21 PM)
Oh Tom! According to a reporter working in Iraq the troops were calling Petraeus "Betray Us" for months prior Moveon.org's use of the term. Now get on your high horse Tom and go get those troops! Bring 'em to justice! Get on with it Tom!

And while you are putting on your brown shirt you can bring in Rush and your other attack dogs for slandering Democratic elected officials.

As TPM said, Davis = not a moderate (TheGreenMiles - 9/24/2007 6:08:36 PM)
Davis is trying to burnish his "conservative" credentials to the VA GOP by using tax dollars to challenge the first amendment.  I'm most sad for Fairfax voters who are going to be represented by an increasingly right wing guy as he uses his House seat to score Senate race points.

Remember Chap Petersen (JPTERP - 9/25/2007 12:57:19 AM)
and send a message to both Davises this Nov. 2007.  No need to wait until the 2008 election to send a message.

Davis was/is not a happy camper because the rate for the full page ad was a discounted one.  NYT agreed that they may have made a mistake.  If I remember the article correctly, Moveon.org has volunteered to write a check for the difference. Should be noted Rudy got the same discounted rate for his ad.  It is unknown whether he plans to make up the difference.

I think it's a given that Davis is running for the GOP Senate nomination -- either that or he thinks that the people in his district are stupid.

I wasn't aware that ads in the New York Times were of such overriding importance to our national -- or even regional interests.  Pretty sleazy.

Hopefully folks remember this too when the local election roles around in 2007.  Both Davises would be better served in their more natural state as lobbyists on the outside looking in.  Lord knows this dynamic duo have a rather perverted idea of what it means to be public servants.
