New 2008 Senate Poll

The poll, conducted by SurveyUSA, found Mark Warner would defeat northern Virginia Congressman Tom Davis by 35 points, former Governor Jim Gilmore by 28 points, and former Senator George Allen by 19 points.

35 Points? Maybe 80% for '08 ins't unrealistic :-)

Let's not make the same mistake George Allen made. Of course Warner is going to poll so far ahead- his name ID is so much higher and there's been no campaign to emphasize any negative themes. Warner is undoubtedly a phenomenal candidate, but it's going to get close at some point.

Tom Davis, yeah. But how are Gilmore and Allen less well-known?
