Tricia Stalls Tries (and Fails) to Defend Her Anti-Education Extremism

Nice try by Tricia Stall, but this isn't going to cut it:

...Stall is still struggling to fully explain her online signature [of a "petition advocating the end of government involvement in public education"]. Stall said she signed the petition because she disliked the way that federal and state lawmakers mandated certain benchmarks in the classroom, rather than relying on local teachers and parents for expertise.

"My intention in doing so is less government involvement and more parental involvement in education," Stall said.

The note that she added on the Internet site has been removed. Her campaign site insists in bold print that she's a "steadfast supporter of public education." Stall said she volunteered on committees for the PTA and worked closely with teachers and principals on the Peninsula. "I have always been an advocate of trying to improve the public school system," she said.

So, let's get this straight:  Tricia Stall signs a petition advocating "the end of government involvement in public education," but then says she's "trying to improve the public school system."  Does anyone believe this?  I mean, besides the people who still think there's a connection between 9/11 and Saddam Hussein, that George W. Bush is a great president, that the earth is flat and the moon made of green cheese.

Go John Miller!

Tricia Stall and the tango... (lgb30856 - 9/13/2007 11:58:49 AM)
Tricia Stall's kids were educated in the Newport News School system, the same one she is dissing.
The fact that her website changes daily, she knows she is in big trouble. She has changed it so many times she must be dizzy from spinning.
While she may have ran against Williams on the tax and transportation issue, now she has to defend herself against bashing our teachers, the ones who educated her children. Now her kids are both in public colleges in Va.
What does she say about that?
On the groung here in NN, the word is out that many main stream republicans will not vote for her because she is too extreme and vicious.
Also watch if she plays the "they put my opponents signs in my yard so I will call the newspaper and the police for more publicity". It happened in both the diamondstein and williams races.
