I wasn't there, but yesterday's Mt. Vernon ice cream social looks like it was a barrel of fun:
...This year's ICS was a terrific success and and what could beat that surprise visit from Mark Warner and his announcement that this time next week, he was "going to be a candidate for public office!" Little did we know the former Governor would be bicycling down the Mt. Vernon Trail only to see our signs and stop by to give a speech. What a terrific surprise.
The Mt. Vernon Democrats promise to have a video up shortly and photos as well.

Look, it's hard to find something cheap and festive and red, white & blue. Emphasis on the word "cheap." We do the best we can. It was good of the Gerrys to get into the spirit of the thing and put them on.
Judging by the expression of these three (not the clothes), here is my caption:
"Who died?"
They were actually pretty lively and funny. The camera must have caught all three at a more serious, contemplative moment.
