Last winter, Senator Tim Johnson (D-SD) suffered a brain hemorrhage. Today, Senator Tim Johnson returns to the Floor of the United States Senate. In just 9 months, with the help and support of his family, doctors, and prayers from people across the country, Senator Johnson has progressed remarkably.  Senator Johnson's recovery has been nothing short of amazing and we are all thankful that he is now able to return to the Senate Chambers and continue his work for the people of South Dakota and all Americans.

To celebrate Senator Johnson's return -- and to help him get his campaign off to a strong start -- I am joining many of my Democratic Senate Colleagues in asking our supporters to welcome back Senator Johnson by helping his campaign today.

Help us welcome back Senator Tim Johnson. Please support his campaign today.

Senator Johnson has fought his way back to the Senate Floor to continue his work to help working families who struggle daily making ends meet. He is committed to working towards economic fairness as he has proven during his time in Congress.

Tim and I also share the bond of parents who have had children serve in Iraq. His voice is an important part of the Senate as we continue to work towards bringing this occupation to a responsible end.

In 2002, Tim Johnson won his Senate race by just 524 votes. This seat will certainly be targeted by the Republicans this election cycle and Senator Johnson needs our support to ensure he is able to run the campaign this seat demands.

Help us make a big statement for Senator Johnson today -- help him have the resources he needs to win in November 2008. Please contribute to his campaign today.

Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Jim Webb
