Kaine: "My Faith Is Firm"

I saw this on the Metro this morning, and thought the headline summed things up perfectly -- the Jerry Kilgore/Scott Howell slime machine attacking Tim Kaine's deeply held Roman Catholic beliefs, and Tim Kaine holding firm to his faith. Unfortunately, Jerry Kilgore's comments aren't surprising, given what top Kilgore media strategist Scott Howell did to Vietnam war hero and triple amputtee Max Cleland in Georgia, calling him a Saddam- and Osama-loving traitor.
Well, maybe that kind of nastiness worked in Georgia, but we need to tell Jerry Kilgore and Scott Howell that it's NOT going to work in Virginia. That's why we at RaisingKaine call on Jerry Kilgore to apologize at once for his remarks, and to disavow any such future attacks.
