Farewell Frank!

My latest project. For those of you who haven't met Judy, she's super smart and has a great sense of humor.  I'm proud to be working with her to say "farewell" to Frank Wolf!  Also, let me just add that I supported Judy in 2006 and was always planning on supporting her in 2008 if she decided to run.  I'm really glad that she did.

Jim Webb's Netroots Coordinator Joins Feder Team

McLean, VA - Lowell Feld, the Raising Kaine blogger who co-founded the Draft James Webb movement and served as the Webb campaign's netroots coordinator in its upset victory over George Allen last year, has joined Judy Feder's campaign against 27-year incumbent Rep. Frank Wolf.  One of Feld's first jobs will be to run a new blog,  www.FarewellFrank.com, which the Feder campaign officially launches today.  The blog will let voters know who the real Frank Wolf is, and what his real record in Congress has been the past 27 years.

"We face many of the same challenges Sen. Webb did when he launched his campaign last winter, and an aggressive netroots strategy was key to his victory " said Feder's campaign manager, Luke McFarland.  "Like George Allen, Frank Wolf is a long-time incumbent who has become comfortable with the perks of life in Congress.  Over the years, Virginia's 10th District  has changed dramatically, but Frank Wolf has not changed along with it.  For instance, Wolf is not the moderate he claims to be on issues ranging from President Bush's failed policies on Iraq to stem cell research.  Farewell Frank will help expose Wolf's true record, while taking the case for change directly to voters, through the internet."

Today's post on Farewell Frank exemplifies the work that Feld and other contributors to the blog will be doing in the coming months. Yesterday, a group of 10th District citizens held a town hall meeting on the situation in Iraq.  But Wolf, who has voted against every effort to bring an end to the war, refused to show up and listen to what his constituents have to say.

"I worked hard for Judy Feder in 2006 in her uphill struggle against an entrenched incumbent, and I plan to do the same this time around." said Lowell Feld.  "Judy Feder is fighting to end the war in Iraq and to bring honest leadership to Washington, for a change.  In November 2008, voters of the 10th District will have the opportunity to replace someone in lockstep with Bush's failed policies with a Congresswoman who is capable of thinking for herself.  This is an objective that everyone -- Democrats, Independents, and moderate Republicans - can strongly support."

Congratulations, Lowell, on your new job! (beachmom - 8/29/2007 7:47:34 PM)
I really hope she wins.  It seems that things are trending Dem everywhere, so hopefully that'll be true in this district, too.

Great work Lowell! (code - 8/29/2007 8:09:08 PM)
Keep it up!

Nice! (legacyofmarshall - 8/29/2007 8:43:54 PM)
I love Judy!  I've met her many times and she's both very kind and very intelligent.  She's a good candidate, but most importantly, would make a first rate congresswoman.

Voted for her once and I'm looking forward to voting for her again next June.

Congrats, Lowell!!! (elevandoski - 8/29/2007 8:47:12 PM)
Gosh, is that Judy Feder a very smart woman hiring you! I think folks in at least my ol' Loudoun haunts will suck you up. Going strategic the way you do so brilliantly maybe just what it takes to put this in the Dem's win column.  I'm very excited for you.

A Will Is a Terrible Thing to Waste (The Grey Havens - 8/29/2007 8:57:23 PM)
It's Lowell's heart and mind to make a great man, but it's his will that makes him a deadly political operative.

He's been writing his book, and fighting the blog wars, but without a great candidate to champion, we've been missing out on the real Lowell magic.

Get ready to watch the sparks fly.  Frank Wolf's not going to know what hit him.

Wolf's not going to know what hit him (Lowell - 8/29/2007 9:57:27 PM)
because the people of his district are angry about Iraq, stem cells, and a lot of other issues where Wolf has let them down BIG TIME.  Voters in the 10th District need a change, not another Bush enabler.  And that change is Judy Feder, a woman who is superbly qualified to be in Congress.  I am truly proud to support her.

Great news for Judy!  Lowell, what does this mean for Raising Kaine?  It needs you too!

I'll still be doing Raising Kaine (Lowell - 8/29/2007 9:55:05 PM)
I mean, hell, how could anyone give up THIS much fun!!  Hahahaha. :)

Good news (Kris Amundson - 8/29/2007 9:34:29 PM)
This is great news for Lowell AND for Judy. Can't wait to start reading the blog.

Congratulations, Lowell (AnonymousIsAWoman - 8/29/2007 10:05:34 PM)
Judy is a great candidate and she's lucky to have you in her corner too.

On to victory in November!

Thanks, much appreciated! (Lowell - 8/29/2007 10:07:24 PM)
And we'd certainly appreciate the support of one of the best writers in the Virginia blogosphere! (you)  :)

You Know You've Got It! (AnonymousIsAWoman - 8/30/2007 10:12:13 AM)
You have my support.  And once again, thanks for the compliment.

Break a leg, Lowell (TheGreenMiles - 8/29/2007 11:29:18 PM)
Good luck to Lowell!  And to Frank, I wouldn't want to be in your shoes.

If I was a Wolf insider, I'd tell him it's time to retire Frank (Shawn - 8/30/2007 1:57:40 AM)
