Tim Kaine's Act Blue page

First off, it's definitely a good thing when the Governor embraces the blogosphere's method of fundraising.  Kudos to Kaine for helping out our good friends at Act Blue:

We've had great Democratic success in Virginia - Mark Warner in 2001, my election in 2005, and Jim Webb's in 2006. This year, 2007, is the year we can take back the General Assembly and really start moving our agenda forward. The candidates on this page are great - I know them all, and have featured them on my Moving Virginia Forward website. Please take a moment to give them your financial support - they are literally the future of Virginia.

But I do find his listed candidates to be, well, interesting.  Where is Chap Petersen? Or Janet Oleszek?  Those are arguably the top two races of the year.  I understand that an ActBlue list can't be too cluttered.  But he does have some safe incumbents on there, as well.  I can't make sense of the logic behind the list, so I'm betting there's a healthy dose of politics at work here.

Anyway, good for the Governor regardless.

Chap, top race. Janet? I don't think so. (DanG - 8/25/2007 2:46:45 PM)
I mean, I'm not in NoVA, but I only hear bad things about that race, which is a damn shame.

Chap, on the other hand, should be on that list.  It makes no sense to me.

Miller is also not included (DanG - 8/25/2007 2:53:36 PM)
Miller, who will in all likelihood beat Stall, is also not mentioned.  What?

Or Marty (Evan M - 8/25/2007 3:14:44 PM)
Or Marty Martinez, who liveblogged here a short while ago.

But then again, we all want our own races featured. :)
