It didn't seem right that we'd just post our list of The Top 25 Reasons Not to Vote for Jerry Kilgore on Raising Kaine. We owe it to our readers to say why we support Tim Kaine for Governor. The real problem with both these lists was paring them down to ONLY 25 items each. Well, we did our best. Here is our countdown of The Top 25 Reasons to Vote for Tim Kaine , counting down one-by-one, here's #8.7. Tim Kaine has a workable plan to manage tax assessments. Kilgore's proposal will short-change localities so that they will have no chioce but to raise local taxes.
Given a choice between the two proposals, however, we?d endorse Kaine?s over Kilgore?s any day. We don?t believe in hamstringing local government by taking away their greatest source of revenue.
