See here for a summary of Virginia Tech's internal report on last spring's shootings.  According to the University, the report is "a forward looking review of university policy, resources, and infrastructure through the prism of April 16."

The overall review was broken down into three main groups: 1) The Security Infrastructure Group; 2) The Information and Communications Infrastructure Group; and 3) The Interface Group.  The three groups issued recommendations, which are available here and in their full reports.  Hopefully, these recommendations will lead to changes that prevent another tragedy like the one on April 16 from ever happening again.
