Is Crime REALLY on the decline?

Jerry Kilgore says that he stands strong on crime, by keeping our state and communities safe.

What about forcible rape Jerry?  Should we feel any safer from that horrid crime?

I know I don't.

Jerry Kilgore was elected into office as Virginia Attorney General in November of 2001. Take a look at these figures!!!

**Per 100,000 People**
2000 -> 22.8
2001 -> 24.6
2002 -> 25.2

The chart below shows the increases in the rate of forcible rapes from 2000 to 2002: a WHOPPING 10% INCREASE!!

This is a disturbing trend that, one would think, the ex-Attorney General Kilgore should have gotten a handle on. Imagine the future of the Commonwealth if Kilgore is, God forbid, elected and allows this to continue...

My advice?  With Jerry Kilgore in charge, be afraid.  Be VERY afraid.

Kilgore; Tough on Crime?????

I am from South-West Virginia, and over the past several years our area of the state has had an epidemic of meth labs and oxycotin problems.  What was the Kilgore response? Their answer was to vote AGAINST last years budget that provided more funding for sheriff's departments, Department of Corrections, cops in schools, and various other needed funding in South-West Virginia to fight these problems.  It does Virginia no good to pass new laws without any funding to implement them.  And yes "JERRY-SUE" (We remember your football days at Gate City), talk is cheap, it takes a REAL man to fund crime fighting.
